Introduction

Park Farm is a family ran establishment offering a professional service within a friendly environment. The main farmhouse, located in the hamlet of Ravensworth, dates back to 1785 and is grade II listed. The stables and barns were converted in July 2007.

All of our rooms are accessed from a courtyard area; each of the eight en-suite rooms have a private entrance, leaving guests free to come and go at their leisure. Daisy the cat is in residence at Park Farm, therefore we regret that we cannot accommodate dogs.

Pre arrival

Park Farm is accessible by car down a country lane, 1 mile from the A1 and Team Valley Trading Estate. Walking on the lane is not advisable as there is no footpath or lighting, however we are happy to help arrange taxi’s or give lifts if we can.

Arrival

·       Upon arrival we advise that guests leave luggage in their car as the bedrooms are not accessed from reception.

·       Assistance with luggage is available

·       Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is 10am, unless earlier/later times are requested.

Car Park

·       The car park is a tarmac surface, with planters to give definition to the parking areas; however no signs are used to mark bays.

·       There is parking available near to the bedrooms and reception for anyone with impaired mobility, please notify us when booking if this is required.

·       The car park is lit at night.

·       The path from the car park to the reception/ dining room is slightly sloping and paved.

·       The path from the car park to the bedrooms is slightly sloping with textured concrete.

Reception/ Dining Room

·       Accessed by a small step of approximately 4 inches.

·        A portable ramp is available if required, please advise Park Farm at the time of booking.

·       The main floor area of this room is carpeted with a small tiled area on which there are two sofas offering a reading area.

·       This room has very good lighting, and is all on one level.

·       There are public toilets on ground level accessed off this room.

·       Free wireless internet is available in this room

·       Menu’s are available in large print upon request

Bedrooms

Situated within a courtyard area with textured concrete paths around a lawned area.

Each door has a down lighter directly above.

All bedrooms contain a wardrobe/clothes rail, desk, chair/stool, comfy seating, TV with digital channels, tea & coffee facilities, hairdryer, alarm clock, bedside lamps and tables.

A guest information pack is available in each room.

An ironing board and iron are available from reception.

Each room is fitted with a hard wired fire alarm system.

Mezzanine Suites

·       On two levels

·       Ground floor carpeted, mezzanine level wooden flooring, bathroom non-slip flooring

·       Open-tread staircase to beds; stairs approximately 5 inches Bathrooms (bath with overhead shower) on ground floor.

·       A single bed can be made up on the ground floor for anyone with impaired mobility

·       Can be single, double, twin or family occupancy

·       All on one level

·       Fully carpeted

·       Bathroom (bath with overhead shower); non slip flooring

·       Can be double or single occupancy

Gardens

·       Park Farm is surrounded by extensive lawned areas for guest’s enjoyment

·       A large sun terrace is situated adjacent to the dining room, for alfresco dining

·       We also offer a farm walk around 50 acres of arable and grassland, featuring lots of wildlife!

Fire Procedure

·       Each bedroom has a copy of the fire procedure on the back of each door.

·       The premises are fully fitted with a fire alarm/detection system

·       Further information on our fire risk assessment is available at reception

·       We ask all guest with visual, hearing or mobility impairments to notify reception upon arrival

Additional Information

·       We are happy to refrigerate any medication

·       We can cater for particular dietary requirements, if advance notice is given

·       All of the rooms are non smoking
